As you all may know,Kate did hyperbaric oxygen treatment the first year of her life in Marerro,LA . Thanks to our wonderful family and friends we were able to afford 90 treatments,but the gas and the treatments get expensive at $200 per treatment. I have met many people in these 2 years who have children/family members with special needs;whether it be autism,cerebral palsy,pvl,anoxia,traumatic brain injury,etc. ,and I KNOW they could benefit from HBOT. But,not many people have $200 available to spend for each treatment! A cycle of treatments is 40.
Therefore,I have set our ultimate goal to purchase an HBO chamber,and have it at our house for our Kate to use,and also for other families who may be interested in this wonderful therapy for their child,adult,whomever they believe it will benefit. I would LOVE to do this for the people in our communities. I was recently given the opportunity to start selling Scentsy,so my commission goes to that fund. I am slowly but surely selling,and events,such as Hollydays,craft shows and other vendor genres would be the best way to get our story and idea out there. But,parties are also a Wonderful opportunity to sell and get our children’s stories heard. So,if you know of any events with booths available for me to set up and sell Scentsy,we would appreciate any info:) Also,if you are willing to hold a party,whether it be a home party where we play games,sniff Scentsy testers,and enjoy each others’company,or a bag party where you take a bag full of products for 1-2 weeks (to church,work,school,family,friends houses) and take orders,ALL parties and sales help out way more than you know! People are always asking how they can help Kate,and this is a great way to help her and help us help others in the community:) Scentsy parties are also beneficial for the hostess because you earn free Scentsy products! One more thing! If anyone knows anything about getting grants for our cause,please let me know that as well. I have been told that would benefit us,but I don’t know the “people”,if you know what I mean:). I know somehow we will find them,and the right ones:).
